12 Dinners At The Farm in August!

This year's Dinners At The Farm series kicks off on Aug 5th. Jonathan Rapp and his Dinners At The Farm team will delight the taste buds of nearly 1800 lucky diners over the span of four weekends and twelve nights in August.  The farm dinners will be hosted at Barberry Farm in Madison, and White Gate Farm in East Lyme.  Working Lands Alliance is a featured beneficiary of the event, along with CitySeed and Connecticut Farmland Trust!  Tickets.  
 
WLA is seeking volunteers to help serve dinners on these dates:

8/7 - in Madison
8/26, 8/27, and 8/28 - in East Lyme

Litchfield Saltwater Grille - Aug 8 Dinner at March Farm
One of WLA's newest members, The Litchfield Saltwater Grille, is also hosting a new farm-to-table series.  The Litchfield Saltwater Farm to Table Summer Wine Dinner Series next dinner is Sunday August 8th at March Farm in Bethlehem  A five course meal featuring products from March Farm paired with four biodynamicaly farmed Benziger wines.  The menu will feature March Farms peaches, plums, tomatoes, broccoli, sweet corn, and nectarines.  Call 860.567.4900 for reservations or email swgcorporate@optonline.net

Dairy Farming Exhibition opens at Roseland Cottage

An exhibition about the modern history of dairy farming in Connecticut, opens at the Roseland Cottage carriage barn on Sunday, June 20.  The exhibition is on view June 20–October 15, Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.  Admission is free. For more details, see link.
